DL-Phenylalanine from DaVinci Laboratories is an amino acid supplement to support comfort and proper mood balance.

DL-phenylalanine contains the essential amino acid L-phenylalanine, a natural mood enhancer, and D-phenylalanine.

DL-Phenylalanine may increase the production of phenylethylamine, which resembles the stimulant drug amphetamine. A phenylethylamine deficiency may cause poor mood states.

Phenylalanine amino acids may also inhibit the breakdown of endorphin, a hormone-like substance that might possibly account for the euphoria experienced by runners.

And DL-Phenylalanine may improve mood naturally in a third way: supporting norepinephrine production. Phenylalanine converts to the neurotransmitter norepinephrine, the first brain chemical deficiency believed to be involved with severe low mood states.
