Biocidin, Enzymes, Etc. | Working on Biofilm Protocol

The Goal of Biofilm Protocol

In the past, children treated with probiotics have shown some improvement. But as soon as the biofilm treatment stopped, the symptoms returned. This is because treatment of the bacteria is only on the surface level and not deep within the biofilm. To get through the protected pathogenic organisms, one must disrupt the biofilm.

Biofilm treatment aims to break down the biofilm and replace its pathogenic flora with healthy flora. This reduces the total number of bacteria. One method used in our clinic is SPS30 or Interface Plus and Metal Magnet as cleaning agents. Clinical researchers on biofilm have been laboratory testing formulations to do just this. One that has been found effective is Biocidin.

Common Biofilm Protocol Concepts

Biofilm protocol instructions vary depending on the supplements and medications used. There are two concepts common to most biofilm protocols:

  • The enzyme used to break down the biofilm must be given on an empty stomach. It should also be given some time to work before adding other killing agents.
  • Debris needs to be removed using a cleaning agent. The cleaning agent binds up almost everything. But you have to administer it separately from vitamins, medicines, and other nutrients.

Basic Steps in Biofilm Protocol

  1. Break down the biofilm through the use of special enzymes.
  2. Then wait for 30 minutes for the enzymes to break down the biofilm.
  3. Next, add in anti-bacterial and/or anti-fungal agents.
  4. Provide a source of replacement flora.
  5. Repeat the process two times per day.
  6. Later, add in a binding agent during bedtime to clean up the debris.

Biocidin and Other Materials for Biofilm Protocol

What is Biocidin? Made up of botanical medicines, Biocidin aims to normalize the GI tract as well as eliminate infections caused by bacteria and fungi hiding in biofilms. It has also been clinically tested for 25 years.

Aside from Biocidin, see the other materials needed to complete the biofilm protocol below:

  • Enzymes: SPS30, Interfase, Nattokinase, Lumbrokinase, or Interfase Plus
  • Antibacterial or antifungal agents: (Pick one or two from the list) Biocidin, ProEnt2, olive leaf extract, grape seed extract, Candibactin AR or Candibactin BR, ADP (not suitable for small children due to the strong oregano smell and taste)
  • Cleansing or binding agents: (Choose one) GI-Detox, Metal Magnet, Extox, Toxin Free, activated charcoal, true fiber, modified fruit pectin

Enzymes Application

Administer enzymes first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Do not give enzymes along with food because the enzymes will break down the food and not the biofilm. If needed, mix the enzymes with a very small amount of food if a child can't take pure enzymes. You may give other medications at this time.

Give the enzyme again later in the day. Keep in mind to separate it from food for at least 30 minutes before a meal and at least one hour after a meal. Then wait for 30 minutes to allow the enzymes time to break down the biofilm.

Biocidin or Any Antibacterial/Antifungal Agent Application

Then, give any antibacterial or antifungal agent along with any food. We usually use a combination of agents. One agent works against bacteria and another agent works against fungus. Repeat this step twice a day.

Binding Agent Application

This is usually the best time to administer the binding agent. Binding agents bind everything, including medications and supplements. Give them separately from everything else. But remember not to give other supplements or medication within one hour before giving a binding agent.

The binding agent will help bind up heavy metals and other debris and will reduce the severity of Herxheimer reactions. You may see Herxheimer's reactions when you first start the protocol. A Herxheimer reaction is a flu-like feeling caused by the sudden release of toxins from dead bacteria. If Herxheimer's reactions are too severe, however, reduce the dosage of killing agents for a few days or stop giving it.

Antioxidant Usage

A bowel antioxidant helps greatly in reducing symptoms during the protocol. Oxyperm, our preferred agent, is an antioxidant specifically for this purpose. You may opt not to use it, but the protocol generally works better with Oxyperm.

A leaky gut aggravates bacterial growth in the guts. Learn how to treat a leaky gut from Agape Nutrition:

There is a wide range of formulations for biofilm treatment, and patients respond differently to each. See your consulting physician for the most suitable protocol for your condition.
