Professional Supplements & Nutritional Products Since 1998
  • Soothes stomach lining*
  • Aids breakdown of protein and nutrient absorption*
  • Helps restore healthy gut balance and pancreatic enzymes*

Benefits

When low acid causes occasional heartburn, the simple solution is to add more.

Betaine HCl increases acid levels so your stomach can naturally digest properly.* Enzymes are added to support gentle digestion, while MucoSave, a combination of prickly pear and olive leaf extracts, soothes the stomach lining.*

 The Science

Hydrochloric acid (HCl) and pepsin are absolutely critical to digestion and nutrient absorption, and without enough, gut-related issues, including occasional heartburn, may occur.

What is the natural solution?

As we age, we produce less digestive acid, leading to occasional heartburn and indigestion. Betaine HCl and Pepsin, a protein-digesting enzyme, can provide relief for those with occasional heartburn.

Betaine HCl, on the other hand, uses HCl and pepsin already in your stomach to naturally raise the pH of stomach acid and soothe discomfort.* On top of that, HCl and pepsin have been shown to positively affect the gut microbiome.*

How is pepsin created?

Most supplements contain pepsin from porcine (pigs). Betaine HCl from Enzymedica uses a blend of fungal protease enzymes that act as pepsin—promoting the breakdown of proteins in an acidic environment but with an entirely vegetarian approach.

Why is Betaine HCl better than other supplements?

In addition, Betaine HCl comes with MucoSave to support and maintain a healthy mucosal system in the stomach.* Made from extracts of prickly pear cactus (Opuntia ficus indica) and olive leaves (Olea europaea), MucoSave has been shown to exert positive effects on the stomach lining, providing a necessary buffer for the acidity of digestion.*

Suggested Use:
